Interactive fitness bike coach for army
Course: Interactive technology design
Scope: Interactive products, contextual research, concept development, game design, prototyping and evaluation.
The project emphasize on practical approach for interactive technology design to learn how to design and build intelligence in interactive products.
The interactive fitness bike coach was built and designed for specific target group i.e. army. The context for the product use is a situation where soldier are stationed abroad awaiting for further orders. For soldiers physical training is essential and it would be boring if it's indoor. We envision the fitness bike in such situation which keeps soldiers in shape, and help them learn collaboration using their intellectual and social skills.
Result
The outcome of the project is an interactive experience which is rewarding and challenging and motivate users to use the exercise bike over extended time. The picture shows the set up where the interface is displayed on the bike & wall, which guides user to finish a goal by collaborating with fellow soldiers. An experimental and research oriented design process has been followed in creating interactive fitness bike coach.
